Prison Obscura is currently at the mid-point of its New York showing at Parsons The New School of Design. At this moment, I wanted to share with you a few installation shots made by Marc Tatti for Parsons.
I also took the opportunity to re-issue the Prison Obscura catalogue essay (originally published by Haverford College) on Medium. Read Can Photographs of Prisons Improve the Lives of Prisoners?
I have hi-res images of all artworks and installation shots. Should you need any, drop me a line.
Enjoy the weekend!

^^ That’s me ^^, last Tuesday, after two days of installation.
Today, Prison Obscura officially opened in the Clark Humanities Museum at Scripps College in Claremont, just east of Los Angeles. If you’re in the area pop by and have a peek. I’ll also be down there on the 2nd October to deliver a lecture ‘Prison Silences‘ and to attend the opening reception.
Thanks to Kirk, T, Amy, Linda, Juliet and the staff at the Humanities Institute for their welcome, work and support.

TALKING HEAD
The kind folks at the Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery at Haverford College wanted to make a video to accompany Prison Obscura. So, we sat down with camera and I talked for an hour. It’s a blessed relief for you all that they managed to distill it down to 3 minutes. Much more bite-size than the essay.
